Brief: Website Design & Build
Realising that his brand and web presence was dated, Duncan MacLean requested a web & brand re-design. Our challenge was to retain the "good old fashioned" image of the company but bring it into the present market. With regards with the brand refresh, we had to keep a close resemblance to their age old logo, set in an old gothic font.
We designed the site in a classic style combined with modern texture and depth techniques that give the site it's slightly up-market and tactile feel, bringing the brand up to date but carrying through the "good old fashioned" tradesman feel. A colour palette of natural colour tones was selected, taken from common interior and exterior design using a range of whites and creams against a grey/brown, to portray a classic yet modern feel.
A clean, minimal layout was designed with a simple two tier menu system, and the use of images add a strong visual impact, relating directly to the companies services.
We were happy with the finished product and certainly enjoyed the
challenge.
