On the Web, being up-to-date with the latest technologies is a difficult exercise: choosing
the wrong tool or architecture can lead to losses in money, time, or customers.

XGGS is an acronym dreamed up by one of our developers which is the concept of good, responsible web design. XGGS is based around 3 ideas, which when combined make great websites!
New Technologies (Web 2.0)
You may have heard of Web 2.0 (or maybe not) but web 2.0 is an expression used to describe the '2nd Generation' of web applications. This includes using all sorts of weird and wonderful technologies to make your website more interactive, functional and up-to-date. This could include having an RSS feed for your news or blog, or 'Wiki' functionality to allow visitors to contribute to your content in some way.
Web Standards Compliance
Standards are essential for the portability and usability of any technology. Just imagine if there wasn’t an ISO standard for CDs—if someone gave you a CD made by Sony and you had a CD drive made by LG you wouldn’t be able to read it! We build websites using CSS2 and XHTML and we comply with all the W3C’s standards.
Accessibility
The web is for everyone, so it should be made accessible to everyone. Your website will look the same in all web browsers and on different screens. It will also be accessible to disabled people, such as the visually impaired. This is achieved by using neat little bits of code to do clever such things as deliver text descriptions for images.
